Join the Friends of Malawi Association
Information

You can join the Friends of Malawi Association now by filling in the form below and submitting it online.  The annual subscription is £10 for individuals and £15 for joint members. Subscription income underwrites the (very small) cost of running the Association, but is devoted mainly to grants for charitable projects in Malawi.



Subscriptions are payable on joining and thereafter on 1 October each year, preferably by Standing Order. Payments should be made to the Friends of Malawi Association account no. 65002140 at the Co-operative Bank, Salford M5 2QP (sort code 08-92-99).
Please complete and print off a S.O. form here (requires Adobe Reader) and post the completed form to the Hon. Secretary. If you prefer, you can complete the Standing Order manually. Some banks will allow you to set up a Standing Order online or on the telephone.



If you are a taxpayer (see note 2 below) and make the Gift Aid Declaration below, the Association can claim 25p for every £1 you contribute.If you do not wish to make a G.A.D. then please click below

Notes to Gift Aid Declaration:


  1. You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the Hon. Secretary.
  2. You must pay an amount of UK income tax and/or capital gains tax that the FOMCTF reclaims on your donations in the tax year (currently 25p for each £1 you give). If the Declaration is made by only one person it is the first-named.
  3. If in the future your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital gains equal to the tax that the FOMCTF reclaims, you should cancel your declaration.
  4. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return
  5. If you are unsure whether your payments qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, ask the Hon. Secretary, or see www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities
  6. Please notify the Hon. Secretary if you change your address.
